The Office of Research and Innovation are pleased to invite you to their public lecture on neurodegenerative disease research, with special guest speaker, Professor Lyn Beazley, Chief Scientist of Western Australia.

The lecture will focus on ECU’s research into Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease. This lecture will be presented by ECU researchers:


· Professor Ralph Martins, Foundation Chair of Ageing and Alzheimer’s and the WA Australian of the Year for 2010
· Associate Professor Mel Ziman, Leader Huntington’s Disease Research, ECU.
· Dr Meghan Thomas, Director, Parkinson’s Centre, ECU


The lecture is part of the program of events for Research Week 2010 which will be held from 16-20 August. Activities include exhibitions, workshops, public lectures, symposia, colloquia and information sessions about research degrees. For a full program of events please visit
